		Kevin Key was born and raised in St. Albert - the oldest community in Alberta - studied at the University of Victoria, and began his career in 1986 as part of the planning group that won the bid for Victoria to host the 1994 Commonwealth Games. He is co-founder of the Bastion Square Cycling Grand Prix, an annual sporting and spectator event held in the heart of Old Town Victoria.
